What happened to your reddit account?

I got banned without a specific explanation, they didn't cite any post in particular, just said I was breaking policies. I suspect I just got swept up in the larger crackdown on leftist politics on the website. It's not the end of the world though, I honestly think social media is pretty toxic for my mental health, and I want to explore living a life without any personal social media accounts anyway. There are alternative ways to promote this business. The only thing that really sucks about it is that there is no way for me to tell all my followers what happened. So the next best thing is to put this at the top of the FAQ.

Do you have other social media accounts for your business?

I have a bunch of place holders but for the most part don't use them much. Instagram is the one I'm the most active on;

@ShirtsAgainstSupremacists

How are the shirts made?

Shirts Against Supremacists is a print on demand business, powered by Shopify and Printify. All our base shirts are made by Next Level Apparel. I chose Next Level Apparel specifically because they have a variety of ethical and environmental pledges many other providers do not.

Here are some links to the ethical policies of the companies I work with:

https://www.nextlevelapparel.com/pages/responsible-business

https://printify.com/sustainability/

https://www.shopify.com/climate

In short, while there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. I have done my best to remain mindful of ethical considerations every step of the way, and be as harm reductive in my business as possible.

What are the shirts made of?

100% cotton, except for the heather grey color option, which is 10% polyester.

What sort of printing do you use?

Direct to garment printing.

Are all of the shirts double sided?

The vast majority of them say the same thing on both the front and the back by default. A few of them say different things on the front and the back, as indicated by having "Dual Sided" in the title. There is exactly one shirt with writing only on the back and not the front. "It's Ok You Can Look At My Butt". Just because, it wouldn't really make sense for that one have writing on the front as well.

How do the shirts feel?

Being neurodivergent, and a bit of a gym rat, it was really important to me that the shirts be as light, soft, breathable, and generally sensory friendly as possible.

Do you sell crop tops?

While I do not personally sell crop tops, all my shirts can be easily made into crop tops with some good quality scissors and a quick google search for a tutorial! Hand cut crop tops are cooler anyways ;)

Are you trans?

I am a Cis, Gender Non Conforming, Bisexual man. I dabble in cross dressing and make up, and present in a way that often gets me clocked as trans. But I identify as the gender I was assigned at birth, I just have a conception of my manhood that includes wearing dresses. I have a bunch of shirts about trans people because I want to promote a message of allyship and solidarity. This whole thing started with me just making DIY pro trans shirts purely for myself to wear, to try to support my local trans community. Way before it was ever a business, the simple idea of "What if I wore stuff that made it clear I'm an ally so as to make public spaces feel a little safer for people who are in a more vulnerable position than me" was the reason I started making shirts in the first place. While it wasn't the very first shirt I ever made (a friend showed me how to make bleach shirts years before this, I just never did anything with that knowledge until way later). The first shirt I made after that, was "You Fuck With The Trans Homies You Fuck With Me". A desire to be aggressively vocal in my allyship has always been core to this project. A big part of why I made it into a business, is so that there could be someone with a shirt like that in every grocery store, gym, etc. To extend the reach of the thing beyond my immediate local area.

Do you use A.I.?

I fucking hate A.I. and have staunchly refused to use it, in any form, whatsoever, as I've put this project together, or elsewhere in my personal life for that matter.

Do you have gift cards?

I sell digital gift cards via Shopify, they are all the way at the bottom of the main page, just scroll down a ways.

Who owns this business?

Shirts Against Supremacists is a one man show. Due to the political nature of my work, I receive a lot of violent threats. Thus I unfortunately have to remain semi anonymous so as to reduce my risk of being doxxed. So rather than giving you my name, I'll just give you some general information about me. I'm in my mid twenties, I am an addict in long term recovery, I have both autism and ADHD, I've been vegan for coming up on a decade now, I'm a political activist and heavily involved with a variety of local organizations. My personal political opinions are generally that of Libertarian Socialism. This whole project began with me just making DIY shirts as a hobby in early recovery. People kept asking me to open up a shop, so now its a small business. Every shirt exists because it is about a topic I care, and felt I had something I wanted to say about. My thought process was essentially to create what would be the perfect T Shirt store for me personally, and then hope there were more people like me out there. Which thankfully worked out.

Is this an American business?

If you're boycotting American businesses, you should not shop here.

Do you ship international?

Its a little more complicated than just "yes". But the short answer is, I ship to most of the world. Not quite world wide, but the vast majority of countries.

What do you do with your profits?

As of right now, If I'm being entirely honest, I'm struggling to make it in this economy. So 100% of the profits go directly toward me feeding myself, paying bills, etc. It is a major goal of mine to start donating a portion of my profits to charity if this thing ever takes off enough that I could afford to do so. But for the time being, I'm simply not in a position to be able to give money away and still survive. So your purchase will go directly toward supporting me as an artist, but nothing more.

Why do you hate nazis so much?

They're evil and have it coming ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
